February 13, 2025, 62, Goldsboro —
Linda Cork Cash, 62, peacefully passed away at her home on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Born in Wayne County on December 3, 1962, she was the daughter of Paul Cork and the late Evelyn Johnson Horne.
In addition to her father, Linda is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Ham and husband, Scott; brother, Michael Cork; nephew, Brandon Cork; and niece, Misti Bouyear.
Linda’s life was a testament to love, strength, and devotion. Above all, she held her daughter, Stephanie, in the highest regard, and their bond was unbreakable. Stephanie was the light of Linda’s life, and there was no greater joy for her than to see her daughter thrive.
Linda found peace and solace in the simplicity of nature, especially in the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. The beach was her sanctuary, where she would sit quietly and let the rhythm of the ocean soothe her soul. It was there that she often reflected on her blessings, finding joy in life’s quiet moments.
Her faith was at the core of who she was, and Linda’s love for Jesus and her church, Faith Church, was unwavering. When Linda was an active member, she could be seen pouring her heart into every task she undertook, always offering a helping hand whenever she was able. Even when her health limited her, her spirit never wavered, and her devotion to the Lord remained her guiding light.
Linda will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, generosity, and faith will continue to inspire those who loved her. We take comfort in knowing that Linda is now at peace, reunited with her Heavenly Father, and surrounded by the love she so freely gave in her lifetime.
A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of Faith Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Interment will be held following the service at Pikeville Cemetery. The family will also be receiving friends at other times at the home of Scott and Stephanie Ham.
Flowers are welcomed, or memorials may be sent to Faith Church, 1200 W Grantham St, Goldsboro, NC 27530 in memory of Linda.
