February 13, 2025, 85, Grantham —

Gerald Ray Bradford, age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at his home in the Grantham community. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Joe Bradford and Maggie Daniels Bradford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings James Bradford, Thurman Bradford and Thelma Joyner.

Gerald was a member of Jordans Chapel Baptist Church, always ready to lend a helping hand whatever the need would be.  For many years, Gerald was in charge of cooking the chickens for the Church’s harvest sale.  He retired from North Carolina Natural Gas with 41 years of loyal and dedicated service.  

A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Jordans Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Smeltzer  officiating . Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at the home of his daughter, 2383 Selah Church Road, Four Oaks, NC.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Louise Hall Bradford; his daughter, Karen Bradford & husband, Lenny; grandson, Brandon Denning and wife Juana; great grandchildren, Jaden and Jace Denning.
