In the late evening hours of Thursday, February 6, 2025, Ann Taylor Mercer of Kinston, passed away unexpectedly.
Ann was a resident of the Jackson’s Heights area near Kinston and was a native of the Seven Springs/Albertson area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leland and Lucy Alphin Taylor, and her brother, Morris Taylor. She had completed an associate degree in accounting from Lenoir Community College. Ann had been employed as billing clerk with Supreme Choice health care and also had worked at one of Kinston’s shirt factories in past years.
She leaves behind her companion, Allen Dennis, of the home; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Delores T. Hardee of Kinston, Linda T. Jones of Mount Olive (Beautancus community), and Marie T. Jones and husband, Henry, of Seven Springs (Liddell area); a sister-in-law, Kaye S. Taylor of Albertson; and several nieces, nephews, and their families.
Ann’s family will remember her life privately.
