February 11, 2025, 62, Princeton —

Jackie Leigh Smith Radcliffe, 62, of Princeton, N.C. passed away at UNC Wayne on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.  She was born in Wilson County on August 19, 1962 to Blois Vaughn Smith and the late John Ray Smith.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Mark Alan Smith and Donnie Ray Smith.

Jackie was a free spirit.  She loved helping others. If you needed it and she had it, then you had it too.  Until her health no longer allowed, she loved going to the beach and camping.

She had a heart of gold and was always able to find something good in any bad situation.  She loved her family, friends and the kids in her neighborhood.  She referred to them as her “Little Rascals”.  She always kept treats for when they would stop by to visit with her.

She spent many hours in food bank lines just to collect food to distribute to those in need. She loved cooking and would have fed the nation if she was able.  She also loved Ricky Padget’s chicken wings. 

For anyone who spent much time talking with her, you would understand phrases like “shoot far and save matches” and “Howdy Doody”, just to name a few.

She was a sweet soul who will be missed by many.

 She is survived by her sons, Jacob Pfaller and wife, Sarah, Christopher Pfaller, and Matthew Ray Pfaller; sisters,  Brenda Ormond and Patricia McKeel; grandchildren, London Pfaller, Layla Pfaller, Ivy Pfaller Harvanek and husband, Steven, and Jake Pfaller; great  grandchildren, Ellis Jay Harvanek, Gracie Mae Harvanek.
