Deacon David E. Williams Sr., 71, of Saulsberry Drive, died Sunday at his residence.

He was born July 2, 1953, in Wayne County, to Willie Williams, Jr. and Lula Reatha Sutton Williams. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Mae Barnes Williams, and their children. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon at Elm Grove Church Ministries. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 PM to 6 PM in the Rev. Ernie Haskins Memorial Chapel of Haskins Memorial  Services.
