Goldsboro FanFest 2025 will take over the Paramount Theatre and Downtown Goldsboro from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

During this third annual Comicon-style event, local fans of gaming, cosplay, and pop culture will have the opportunity to explore various cutting-edge and traditional games and shop for collectible items, comics, and original art in the theater’s lobby.

Featured local vendors include Gilded Dragon, Brothers Boyd, Nostalgia Newsstand, and many more.

The event will feature celebrity guests Stanley Aughtry (Black Panther and Wakanda Forever) and voice actress Katelyn Barr (Kaiju No. 8 and My Hero Academia).

For those feeling competitive, FanFest 2025 will feature a cosplay contest and a Magic: The Gathering Commander Tournament. Participants have the chance to win prizes and showcase their skills.

The day will culminate with a screening of STAR WARS: Return of the Jedi at 6 p.m.

FanFest After Hours will take place from 8-10 p.m. at Well Travelled Beer for all Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons enthusiasts.

It’s the perfect chance to learn new skills, meet fellow players, and find a gaming group.

Tickets are $10 and available online or at the door.

Each attendee will receive a wristband at check-in, granting access to all events and exclusive promotions from downtown merchants.

The first 50 attendees will receive a commemorative pin.
