Rickie Nelson Holloman, 68, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at his home. Born in Wayne County on September 9, 1956, he was the son of the late Leonard Holloman, Jr. and Minnie Brock Holloman.

In addition to his parents, Rickie was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Hilda Chase; and sister, Phyllis Faulk.

Rickie is survived by his daughter, Sherrie Kostelecky; son, Rick Holloman; brothers, Billy Holloman and Milton “Blossom” Holloman; bonus children, Monica Sexton, Sandra Bailey (Rodney), and Chris Chase; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Rickie was a longtime employee of Warren Supply where he was known for his knowledge and skill of small engine repair. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching wrestling. Everyone knew not to bother him while the television was tuned to the race or a wrestling match. Ricky also enjoyed being outdoors wetting a fishing line, waiting for the next tug. He was a die-hard UNC Tarheels fan, the only shade of blue for Rickie was Carolina Blue.

The family will gather for a time of visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Seymour Funeral Home.
