WCPS to Hold Two All-County Performing Arts Events

Wayne County Public Schools will host two All-County performing arts events this month.

“We are excited to host the All-County Chorus and the All-County Band which will highlight more than 380 students from across the district,” said Christy White, Title IV Enrichment Facilitator. “While these events are traditionally attended by families and staff, the events are free to attend and community members are welcome to come out and enjoy these two evenings of performances.”

All-County Band  Thursday, WCPS will host its annual All-County Band Festival. More than 130 middle and high school band members from Wayne County Public Schools will come together to showcase their instrumental talents. Accomplished professionals will direct the talented groups of students who represent nine middle and high schools across the district. The event will take place in the Dillard Middle School auditorium at 6:30 p.m.

All-County Chorus – On Apr. 15, WCPS will host its annual All-County Choral Festival. Approximately 250 elementary, middle, and high school students from Wayne County Public Schools will come together to showcase their vocal talents. Accomplished professionals will direct the talented groups of students who represent 21 elementary, middle, and high schools across the district. The event will take place at the Goldsboro High School auditorium at 6 p.m.

New this year, special student performances and emcees will be provided for both events by theatre programs from various WCPS schools.
