It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Reverend James W. Britt, 92, who departed this earthly walk of life on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC. The celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 12:00 noon with a viewing from 11:00am to 11:50am at St. James AME Zion Church, 205 S. George Street, Goldsboro, NC. He will be laid to rest at the St. James AMEZ Church Cemetery, 403 W Harper Street, Snow Hill, NC.

He was born in the chief town of Greene County, Snow Hill, NC on March 1, 1933 to John Henry Britt and Emma Lee Edwards Britt.
