February 2, 1999 – March 24, 2025

Corey Scott Martin, beloved resident of RHA Health Services/Bear Creek in La Grange, North Carolina, passed away on March 24, 2025, at the age of 26. He was born on February 2, 1999 in Jackson County, Michigan. Corey had beautiful eyes and a mischievous smile and laugh that would light up the room.

Everyone who knew Corey knew how much he loved his computer tablet and airplanes. During the COVID pandemic, some very special caregivers arranged for Seymour Johnson Air Force Base to conduct a flyover of four F-15 jets for Corey and the other residents to enjoy. This was one of the highlights of his life and we will forever be grateful for the staff that made this happen.

Although Corey did not have any relatives, he is survived by Angel Harrell, his guardian and many special caregivers that loved him like he was family. Corey’s spirit will live on in the memories of those who loved him.

You are finally flying high little buddy. You will always be remembered with fondness and affection. Our lives were better because of you, and you will be greatly missed.
