With profound sorrow and empathy, the management and staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors join with the Faison and connected families to announce the earthly transition of Mrs. Andrea Faison, 61 of Kinston, NC.
Andrea Letitcia Woodard Faison, affectionately known as “Dreal,” revered as a pillar of strength, bravery, and unyielding positivity, went on to be with the Lord on March 11, 2025. Born on May 11, 1963, Andrea was known for her warmth, faith, and undeniably loving spirit.
Andrea was a member of Gospel Tabernacle United Holy Church for approximately twenty years under Pastor Richard Darden’s leadership. As a faithful member of the choir, she truly enjoyed praising and worshipping the Lord through song.
Andrea was preceded in death by her parents, Leatrice Jean Woodard and Jesse James Woodard, and her brother, James Kelvin.
Andrea is survived by her husband of 40 + years, James Carroll Faison, and their children Laurena Michelle Woodard, James Carroll Faison, II (Contessa), Stephen Faison, Andrita Olivia Faison, Toneri Traquay Faison (Annette), and her beloved grandchildren Malachi, Makayla, Ja’Zion, Jalyn, Madison, Aariyah, Decandice, Kendrick, Virginia, Andrew, Nikki, and David. She is also survived by her brother Jesse James Woodard, Jr. (Victoria), their children Jesse, Jazmine, Jordan, and their families. A special mention goes to Anita Sanders, Andrea’s right-hand woman! They shared a friendship and bond that remained strong and unwavering for 40 + years. She remained a constant support and strength to Andrea and her entire family. With a hefty family tree and a family consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, Andrea’s reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.
