GOLDSBORO, NC – Friday the community ventured out to Downtown Goldsboro, while purpling up in support of military child month.
Heather Winstead District Military Liaison with Wayne County Public Schools announced during the April city hall meeting that she would like for the community to join her and her team Friday at Downtown Goldsboro, wearing purple to show support and respect for children who are a part of military families. “They are our youngest heroes on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.” Heather said, “Their families served, which means they have served too.”
To honor military child month, there was a community photo taken in Downtown Goldsboro of the participants in purple showing their love, support, and respect to those children who happily served alongside their families.
