Goldsboro, N.C. — A major educational milestone is about to arrive in Wayne County as the officials prepare to break ground on the new site of Rosewood Middle School. Ground officially breaks Thursday, April 17 at 10 a.m. at the school’s new location, 541 NC 581 South.
The event marks the groundbreaking of the highly anticipated facility, whose construction will be completed in Fall 2026. Elected officials across the county—members of the Wayne County Board of Commissioners and members of the Wayne County Board of Education—along with leadership from Wayne County Public Schools and the County of Wayne, will be present for ceremonial shovel-turning, as well as other invited guests.
With state-of-the-art learning environments, updated facilities, and room to grow, the new Rosewood Middle School will be poised to educate students for generations to come.
