Wayne County, NC — In observance of Good Friday, several Wayne County government services and facilities will adjust their schedules this week.
- County of Wayne Government Offices will be closed on Friday, April 18, 2025. All offices are set to reopen on Monday, April 21, 2025, and will resume normal business hours.
- Public libraries throughout the county will also observe the holiday. All branches of the Wayne County Public Library will be closed on both Friday and Saturday, reopening Monday for regular operations.
- The Peggy M. Seegars Senior Center will follow the same closure schedule, with services paused on Friday and Saturday. The center will welcome back visitors on Monday.
- Residents should also note changes to waste disposal services. The Wayne County landfill and all convenience centers will be closed on Friday but will reopen for regular hours on Saturday.
- Additionally, the Wayne County Animal Shelter will be closed on both Friday and Saturday. Services will resume on Monday
