Mount Olive, NC ( April 20 ) — In a thrilling three-game baseball series between the University of Mount Olive Trojans and Barton College Bulldogs, the Trojans came out on top, taking two out of three games over the weekend.

The series kicked off Friday afternoon with a dramatic walk-off win by Mount Olive in Game 1, setting the tone for a competitive matchup between the conference rivals.

Games 2 and 3 were held as a Saturday doubleheader starting at noon. In the first game of the day, a scheduled 7-inning contest, the Trojans edged out the Bulldogs with a close 7-6 victory, clinching the series win.

Barton bounced back in Game 3, however, delivering a strong performance to defeat Mount Olive 7-2, avoiding a weekend sweep and closing the series on a high note.

With the series win, the Trojans continue to build momentum as they head deeper into the season, while Barton will look to regroup and carry the energy from their Game 3 victory into upcoming matchups.
