Thelma Louise Moses Holloway, 84, of Goldsboro, North Carolina passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
Ms. Holloway was born in Wayne County on September 16, 1940, to the late Charlie and Helen Austin Moses. Ms. Holloway was a graduate of Dillard High School Class of 1958. She was employed as a healthcare technician at O’Berry Center for 10 years. Ms. Holloway enjoyed gardening and herbal medicine. When her children were younger, she loved to sew and was very good at it. She also enjoyed music, dancing and teaching her children valuable lessons of life through example.
Cherishing her memories include her two sons, Patrick (Muhammad) Mark Campbell of Goldsboro and James Donte Pryor(Barbara) of Winterville; three daughters, Angela Maria Campbell Murray of Goldsboro, Vicky JoAnn Campbell (Tim) of Goldsboro and Kim Michelle Pryor of Clayton; one brother, Charlie Moses of Goldsboro; one sister, Jean Smith of Richmond, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Robyn Campbell Joyce (John) of Greensboro, NC; Shavon Segers (Charles) of Durham, NC; Tomeka Pryor of Raleigh, NC; Amen-RA Pryor and Issa Pryor of Winterville, NC; Chloe’ Nelson and Jayden Nelson of Clayton, NC and five great-grandchildren, Salim Campbell of Pennsylvania, Destin Jacobs and Asa Jacobs of Goldsboro, Charles Ethan Segers and Samir Segers of Durham and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Holloway was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Paul Murray; two brothers, Harold Moses and Kenneth DeVaughn and three sisters, Helen Catus, Marian Phillips and Ann Brown.
