Mary Olive Tedder Traxler, 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Spring Arbor of Wilson. Born in Lucama on February 10, 1929, Mary was the daughter of the late Leonard Arthur Tedder and Eula Pate Tedder.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Flores Turner; husbands, Eddie Gray Flores, Raymond Hales, and Eugene Traxler; sisters, Lucille Tedder Raper and Hazel Jordan; and brothers, Kermit Tedder, Arthur Tedder, Leland Tedder, and Kenneth Ray Tedder.

Mary is survived by her children, Stella Flores Crawford and husband, Larry, Julie Flores Coley and husband, Tim, Larry Stephen Flores and wife, Laraia, and Edward Paul Flores and wife, Leigh Ann Warren; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, Milton Turner.

Mary had a kind heart and a giving spirit. She loved spending time in her garden, always keeping her yard full of beautiful flowers. She found joy in simple things like fishing and playing bingo, and she was always up for a friendly game or a quiet afternoon by the water.

She was also a wonderful cook, known for making delicious meals that brought her family together. More than anything, Mary loved her family. She was always ready to lend a hand, offer a warm smile, or share a kind word.

Mary touched many lives with her gentle nature and caring ways. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A service will be held at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service. Mary will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Wilson.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Spring Arbor of Wilson and Hospice of Wilson for the exceptional care, kindness, and support they provided to Mary. Their compassion will never be forgotten.
