Kenly-Pauline Baker Dixon, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. Born in Johnston County on May 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Viola Mitchell Baker.

In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Peeden; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray Baker and Luther Baker; and sister, Gladys Baker.

Pauline is survived by her children, Mary Coker of the home, Roger Peeden (Martha) of Princeton, Doug Peeden (Vicky) of Lucama, David Peeden (Theresa) of Lucama, Eddie Peeden (Kim) of Smithfield, Jean Stallings of Elm City, and Gregory Peeden of Las Vegas; twenty-one grandchildren; and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Kenly Funeral Service. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Wilson and Pendergraft Cemetery on Rhodes Road in Kenly with Pastor Winston J. Arthur officiating.
