Foundation of WCC Lecture – “Rocky: The Underdog Story Behind the Beloved Underdog Film”

The Foundation of Wayne Community College’s Arts and Humanities Fall Lecture Series begins with “Rocky: The Underdog Story Behind the Beloved Underdog Film.”

WCC English Instructor Deniz Tuck will share the underdog story of Rocky’s origination and production, discuss the film’s significance in New Hollywood cinema, and reflect on the film’s enduring ideas about the American Dream.

The event will be held Monday, Sept. 30, at 5:30 p.m. in Room 101 of the Walnut Building on the College’s campus. It is free and open to the public to attend.
