Rosewood High School Wrestles To The Top

It’s been a busy and exciting week or so for a local high school’s wrestling squad.

Rosewood High School’s wrestling team just won the Dual Team State Championship for Division 1-A last weekend—the school’s second dual team state championship in the past three years. The school has also won the individual state championship the past two years.

Rosewood Wrestling Coach Bill Edmundson says the program has been building over the past ten years or so.

Rosewood battled back from an early deficit to knock off defending 1A Champions, Robbinsville, in the 2018 NCHSAA Dual Team Wrestling State Championship on February 3rd.  Edmundson says Rosewood lost to Robbinsville in the state finals last year.

Rosewood High School was also set to compete in the 2018 NCHSAA Individual Wrestling Regional Championships this Saturday at South Davidson High School in Denton.
