Edgewood Community Developmental School principal, Dr. Kevin D. Smith, Sr., was named principal of Carver Heights Elementary. He is replacing Dr. Winter Goodson, whose last day is Aug. 11. Dr. Smith began his education career in 2005 as an instructional assistant, and later as a teacher, at Edgewood Community Developmental School. Prior to being named principal of Edgewood in 2019, Dr. Smith served as an educator and principal at Riverbend School at Cherry Hospital. Dr. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in exceptional children education, a master’s degree in school administration, and a doctorate’s in education.… read more »
