Wayne County records another coronavirus-related death as the county’s total number of COVID-19 cases approaches 1,800.

According to Wayne County Government, the latest death occurred on Thursday.  The individual was in their late-50s, had underlying medical conditions and was not from a congregate care facility.  Wayne County has now recorded 26 COVID-19 deaths.

Monday’s update shows 1,793 total positive cases of COVID-19 in Wayne County.  When taking into account the infections associated with congregate living facilities and persons already considered recovered, there is an estimated total of 571 coronavirus cases that are currently active in Wayne County.
